Connect Promptly Forms to Google Sheets

Every form submission goes straight into a Google Sheets spreadsheet in real time — no manual exports, no copy-paste, no delays. Build live dashboards, share data with teammates who don't need a Promptly account, and analyse responses with the tools your team already knows.

The integration works on the free plan. No credit card required to get started.

Why teams connect forms to Google Sheets

  • Real-time response tracking. Every submission appears as a new row the moment it's submitted — no waiting, no manual sync, no scheduled exports.
  • Share data without dashboard access. Team members, clients, and stakeholders can view responses in Sheets without needing a Promptly Forms account or login.
  • Build charts and pivot tables from live data. Use Google Sheets' native charting, pivot tables, and conditional formatting to visualise response patterns as they arrive.
  • Works with Apps Script and Make for automation. Trigger Apps Script functions on new rows, or chain Sheets into a larger Make (Integromat) workflow for multi-step automations.

How to set up the integration (3 steps)

  1. 1
Copy your webhook URL from Promptly FormsOpen your form in Promptly Forms, go to Settings → Integrations, and copy the unique webhook URL for that form. This is the endpoint that sends data to Google Sheets whenever a new submission arrives.
  2. 2
Connect to Google Sheets via Make or Apps ScriptIn Make (Integromat), create a new scenario: add a Custom Webhook trigger and paste your Promptly Forms webhook URL, then add a Google Sheets → Add a Row module. Alternatively, use Google Apps Script to receive webhook data and write rows directly with a doPost() function.
  3. 3
Map form fields to sheet columns and testMatch each form field (name, email, message, etc.) to the corresponding column in your spreadsheet. Submit a test form response and confirm the row appears correctly. Turn on the scenario and you're live — all future submissions route automatically.
